Malachi Smith’s CD Collection Launch 6 PM, Tuesday, November 9




4-M Productions, under the distinguished patronage of Jamaica’s Consul General Mrs. Sandra Grant-Griffiths, invites the South Florida community to the historic launch of dub poet, actor, and lawman, Malachi Smith’s patriotic CD collection “Hail to Jamaica” launch on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 6 p.m., at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Family Church Hall, 18501 NW 7th Avenue, Miami Gardens. Father Easton Lee, C.D., Geoffrey Philp and The Jamaica Folk Revue will make guest appearances. Dr. Heather Russell of FIU will be the emcee.



The CD features several of Malachi’s award winning poems written about Jamaica: "My Jamaican Tongue", "Change of Heart", "Expiration", and Jamaican favorites: "Miss My Jamaican Christmas", "Going Home for Christmas", "Miss Yuh Jamaica Gal", and "Heaven Nuh Sweet like Jamaica Sah".



Malachi’s son, Marlon Smith, (60 Cal) who most recently worked on several tracks on Reggae’s rising star Gyptian's new CD/album. Jimmy Starr of Hide Away Studios is the mastering engineer. Liner Notes are by Professor Geoffrey Philp. The CD will be distributed by Lion Gates Audio and Visual Works and online by CD Baby, iTunes, Rhapsody, AmazonMP3 and other online stores.



Malachi has won many awards for his writings including Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) 2009 Most Outstanding Writer award, and he was also a nominee for IRAWMA 2009 Most Outstanding Poet award. A James Mitcher Fellow at University of Miami, Malachi studied poetry under Lorna Goodison and playwriting under Fred D’Aguiar. He holds a B.Sc. and MSCJ degrees from Florida International University (FIU). An alumnus of Miami Dade College and Jamaica School of Drama, Malachi attended White Marl Elementary School, Kingston Technical High School and St. Georges College Extension High School in Jamaica.



Malachi, who is married and has two sons, presently works for Miami-Dade Police Department as a Field Training Officer (FTO) at Station II.



“Hail to Jamaica” is the ultimate gift for all Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica.

ok so im going to try and choose my words carefully....after listening to this asshole...yes i said asshole, i have solidify my point when i said that everybody has a purpose in this world...without criminals there would be no need for cops, lawyers, etc...

so what is his purpose? his purpose is to bring down other people with lies, bullying, trying to break someone self esteem just to make a name for himself...obviously this asshole doesn't realize that anything you gain thru any method of evil doing or negative wishful thinking or shitting on one's character will always come back and kick u in the ass...that is just how it works...

who gave him the right to talk so horribly about another person..so his only ammo for miss kitty is cause she is a fluffy and im not mad cause im a fluffy too...i mad because im sick of other people trying so hard to make others look bad so they can appear to look good..

ok ladies...i've been around alot of guys and they talk alot about us females...some of it is true while some is a bunch of crap...so here is a list of some dumb things and some good things that i have heard..u pick what is dumb from what make sense...

1. i cannot get AIDS/HIV if i have i pull out
2. i can cure AIDS/HIV if i have sex with a virgin
3. i cannot be with the same vagina for the rest of my life
